Meet Tristan Towers.

Familiar forms.
Unexpected directions.

In Tristan Towers’ portfolio, a wolf is framed by roses, a red dragon winds through maple leaves, and a portrait takes an unexpected turn. The subjects shift; texture, expression and contrast connect them. Realism gives the images a familiar footing. Surrealism opens the door to something stranger.

Tristan has been tattooing since 2015 and works at Innovative Ink in Phoenix, Arizona. His primary specialties are black & grey realism, color realism and surrealism. Across those directions, his portfolio moves from small, self-contained pieces to compositions that span an arm or a back.

Beyond a style label

Look closer and the range becomes more personal to the viewer: a raven’s layered feathers, a vividly colored bloom, the face of a familiar character. Botanical imagery shares space with mechanical forms; softly shaded portraits sit alongside sharp geometry and saturated color. Each gives a different way to explore the work, beyond a style label.

The next piece begins with a conversation. Bring the subject you have in mind, the references you keep returning to, and an idea of placement and size. Tristan invites clients to share their ideas and discuss a custom project—whether the starting point is immediately recognizable or a little harder to put into words.
